Fantastic Vintage suit by Barney Goodman of Sheffield, they started business in 1926 but recently closed there shop although they still offer a bespoke tailoring service. I would say this was made in the 1940s or early fifties, it is in excellent condition with virtually no sign of use, there is no damage or stains, all the buttons are present on the jacket and trousers, the only fault i can find is that the button on the back pocket of the trousers is broken but still useable and very easy to replace. I would say the jacket is medium, it measures 18 inches across the shoulders at the back and 29 inches from the top of the collar to the hem, the sleeves are 23 inches from the shoulder to the cuff. The waist of the trousers is 36 inches but the inside leg is quite short measuring 26 inches although there is a 2 1/2 inch turn up which could be let down if required.
